MiMi is an accomplished oil painter whose work captures both the beauty of the natural world and the authentic spirit of her subjects. Known for her luminous landscapes, expressive portraits, and tender depictions of children and beloved pets, she creates paintings that feel both timeless and deeply personal.
Children and animals hold a special place in her work. Families who commission portraits often remark that her paintings are so life-filled they half expect their children — or their dogs — to “speak from the canvas.” Whether painting a child’s quiet wonder or a dog’s loyal gaze, MiMi is known for capturing not only likeness, but spirit.
In 2011, she was selected by a national Christian organization to create the 4 x 6-foot painting All the Children of the World, now displayed in its global headquarters in Orlando, Florida. Her portrait of Billy Graham was personally commended for capturing not only his appearance, but his heart.
She has also been commissioned by the John’s Island Club in Vero Beach, Florida, to paint both their retiring golf director and beloved club manager for the club’s permanent collection.
After an early career in commercial interior design, MiMi has devoted more than 30 years exclusively to oil painting. She studied at the National Academy of Design in New York and at Chatov Studio in Atlanta, and has painted alongside respected artists including Arthur Legg and Egidio Antonaccio.
She continues to accept a limited number of portrait commissions each year.
